    • I find that if I don’t schedule in my work outs, my date nights with the girls, it just doesn’t happen.

For the last five years, my friends and I get together about every six weeks to discuss the book, catch up and to have “our time“. When I come home I’m a much better person.

This works for me. How do you plan your “me day“? What works for you?

    • Just like anything important to me I have to make time. If I wait it seems to never come.
I also get together w/girlfriends who are so encouraging and caring. It inspires me to keep going.
I also take a nice bath with candels a glass of wine and some soft music, my hubby helps with this one. When I am really stressed he looks at me and says shall I start the water? I Love him.

    • I also make ME time when I get home from work. I come home and change out of my uniform and get me a glass of Ice Tea and sit In front of the computer for awhile and then I clean around the house a little while listening to one of my fave cds. When thats done, I relax on the couch and watch me some Oprah. So by the time hubby gets home from work, I am relaxed and ready to make dinner or go out If he wants too.happy

    • I agree with ChinaDoll- I have to find myself first- I work full time, have twin boys (7) and an 11 year old daughter, we have a Shitzu and we just added another pet- a Bullmastiff (8) month old so my plate is pretty full.  I know I need me time when I started crying last night when I couldn’t find something that I was looking for.  Then my husband gets home and I ended up helping him bring stuff into the garage because it was going to be raining today.  I went to bed at 11:30pm to get up at 4:45am ro walk the dogs.  I love my family and my pets but I do feel overwhelmfrown

    • permart, a Bullmastiffestatic  I had a friend who bred and showed them.  When he went out of town I would take care of them.  They are such gentle giants.

My time, after a long day at work I’m stressed because it takes me 40-55 minutes to get home.  I fix a glass of sweet tea and kick back and watch a little TV and then go for a golfcart ride and feed the geese and ducks.  Go to watch the sunset with all the other neighbors and socialize.

    • I do several things for my “Me” time, I like to read a good book, most times I like to sit in the quite of a room and meditate, or I’ll go walk by the ponds and sit and watch nature at it best, or I’ll do myself a home spa treatment of some sort, enjoy a nice glass of wine and soft peaceful music or I’ll go shopping for just me but my ultimate thing to do is go into my prayer closet it refreshes me everytime.happy

    • Angelcart he is a gentle giant- One of my twins just lays down next to him and cuddle.  I also owned a Neopolitan Mastiff who was also a “mush” but very protective of me.  I also drive about an hour to get home so that would be consider my me time-if the kids fall asleep if not is the bickering and taunting excursion until we get home.  Reading is also one of my favorite me routine-if I have an hour to spare!

    • I love my ME time.  I love to read and so relaxing in the spare  bedroom with the door closed, sitting by the window with a cold glass of diet coke works for me.  When my husband and son sees that door closed they know its my ME time.  You have to let others in your household know that this particular time is just for you and you will be surprise how they adjust to it.  I love going out in my garden and pulling the weeds and touching the flowers, being in nature soothes me.  I have so many.  It was not like this all the time but I definately made it a point to be this way.
