What does it mean when you go shopping for clothes for yourself and one color just pops out at you?
Lately when I have been shopping for myself the color purple has been popping out at me, now it’s the color pink. Does anyone know what that means? Why do some colors scream buy me!
I think colors bring out the unconscious sides of people’s personalities. As a Libra I’m supposed to be partial to pinks, blues and pastel colors but when I look at them as clothes, I can’t imagine my body in them. I’m a purple person and because I wear so much of it, I have released the purple bug onto not only my friends but my co-workers. They feel the confidence that purple brings to them, and a couple of years ago when purple was the “it” color fashion wise, I was already in style! I always acknowledge someone’s choice to be daring with a color that looks marvelous on them. I had to say something to a young lady the other day who was wearing a pair of bright red suede boots. It’s not one of my favorite colors, but on her, they were awesome!
Like Terma said, could be cause you like that color or It could be the color of the month or for the season. I will go clothes shopping sometimes and I will see alot of one color In differant styles, so that might be just the color of choice for that season.
Thanks for your responds ladies, maybe it’s all the color of the month thing. Now that I have a lot of purples and pinks I will look for the next big color. Then build a bigger closet because it’s getting tight. LOL
I like to experiment with all colors...just bought a cute tank in a tangerine color..boy, that made these khaki shorts that I have really pop!
That sounds like a good Idea, clean out my clothes closet, but then I hate getting rid of something cause would If goes with something I want to wear and I don’t have It anymore...LOL, Guurrrrr!!
I have a love of clothes everybody that know me can verify it. I really love to shop. But I have two rules that I stand by. First buy classic piece they never go out of style. Second, If I have bought something and haven’t worn it in two seasons I probably won’t wear it a third so though it out. I clean my closet out every spring and fall.
Then the fun begins again and go shop.
