    • I have a Toshiba Net Book which I’m typing on right now. I’ve had it about 10 months and I love it. I bought it because my laptop is heavy to be lugging around when I’m trying to work on my novel. Every year I do National Novel Writing Month, and I needed something I didn’t have to schlep around and on recommendation of another writer friend of mine, I bought the Toshiba. It’s light, powerful and gives me 9 hours of battery life (as long as I’m just typing and not surfing the Net). I even take it to the laundry room and if it’s noisy, I plug in the earphones and listen to music to take away the distraction. The only sticky point on this model is you can’t type really fast on it because it’ll jump and start typing lines above. I bought it just before Windows 7 came out and I’m okay with that because I’m used to XP which I have on my desktop. A couple of weeks ago, I had it with me, my tote bag fell over and hit the floor with the Net Book with it. I thought it was toast because it was a 3 1/2 foot drop onto a concrete floor, but it was fine (I had it wrapped in a towel so my water bottle wouldn’t ruin it). Get one, you’ll love it!

    • I have one, an Acer Aspire. I love it. It’s hard at first getting used to the smaller screen and as long as you have a flash drive, space is no issue. They‘re great. Shop around, you’ll find some great deals.

    • Hubby bought a Dell Net Book to take on trips.  It’s great cuz of the size, it’s fit’s in the saddle bag perfectly.  When we went to Utah in May it was great to be able to check out the weather, download our pics from the day, etc.  Plus he need’s one to keep up with his biz emails when were away for 2 weeks.  Oh, also when we can’t get a cell signal we can always Skype.happy
