    • I’m still feeling pretty good. Last year at this time I was absolutely miserable. My weight is dropping, I’m fitting into clothes that haven’t been out of my closet in years and I’m not having hot flashes. I actually have more energy, too. This is weird. I didn’t realize just how bad I’ve been feeling over the past 3 years or so until now that some of that has lifted.

    • Cynthia, I’m with you.  Throughout the past few years I’ve had health issues and dropped a lot of weight without dieting.  I had acid reflex so had to quit my daily sodas and mochas (now I have an occasional decaf vanilla latte).  At this old age, I’m finally more aware of taking good care of me.  Not having my period is good.

    • Thanks, Linda. I know, it’s pretty nice to not have to worry about periods. I’m not certain that I’m finished. I went 11 months without one and then had one a few months ago. My doctor said he feels it was just a false alarm but judging from the way I feel the worst is behind me. Thank goodness!

    • I love it!  no worries about being “caught” during a vacation or other inconvenient times.  only thing I’m noticing that’s not so great-that even w/ k-y, I still feel irritated after a romantic evening.  That does concern me, b/c the gyn suggested a hormonal cream, both types can be the cause of cancer.  it’s like you‘re caught in the middle of a rock and a hard place.

    • it’s strange, I’m not experiencing the dryness, even in my skin. My hair is a little dry and it’s thinner than it was when I was younger. From what I’ve read, I’m still producing enough estrogen at the moment. Even when the hot flashes were horrible it was due to a drop in progesterone at a higher rate than the decrease in my estrogen.

    • My hot flashes are thankfully not as frequent, still have some vaginal dryness. I’m also not as moody as I had been. Haven’t had a period in years....don’t miss them at all.

    • I’m post menopause and yes, I feel good with the perimenopausal stuff done and over with. My boobbies lost their perk, but a good bra fixes that! ;oD
