    • I have heard of it but haven’t read the book. As Annie says, it’s not a new concept and is pretty much the same as putting together a vision board. It’s where and what you place your focus (energy) on and concentrate on it that works.

    • I loved it, but like Cathie and Annie said, it’s basic “law of attraction” stuff. I watched the video, too, because it was so new agey and fabulous. I totally believe in “what goes around comes around” I think. I don’t know. It’s cool, though.

    • I haven’t read the Secret, but have read probably a dozen other books that are based on the same principle.  Yes, it works if you apply it to your life.

    • Thanks, for the validation as I felt that most positive folks thought this way anyway.  I didn’t feel it was something new. But, it sure is motivating!

    • Yes, I read it and love it. The principles are not new but if you are surrounded by negative people who would rather you stay the same place they are, the crab in a barrel mentality or the misery loves company, you know the ones, it inspires you to go beyond and reach your greatness.

    • Hi Maverick - Read it and have actually worked with and met many of the teachers featured in the book and movie.  The challenge most of them as well as readers/viewers have is that what is featured is not the entire story.  The Law of Attraction is actually only one side of that entire law, which is only one of the Universal Laws.  For instance, in the Law of Gravity we know that what goes up...must come down.  We live in a dual-natured universe which means we need to be aware of the whole picture.  It’s a good concept to start with, but don’t end there.  Really learn about your energies - all of them, internal and external - and the Universal Laws.  It’s actually not that difficult, and makes life so much easier and much more abundant!
