A completely ugly tablecloth or was it a throw or was it a wrap..... really what was that thing????
My former mother in law bought me a leopard print multi bag which was just vile, tacky so not me and was wrong on every level plus I know she bought it from a charity shop as it had bus tickets and tissues in it !
I didn’t want a gift and it was such a slap in the face especially as I had just paid for her to go to New Zealand and Australia for a month ..... that’s when it really hit home she hated me 
My ex MIL gave me a bowl. Back when Avon was selling that vile red cape cod pattern. She gave me one lousy bowl. Not a set, not a promise for more pieces. Just a lone bowl.
OMG my friend got off her former mother in law a nail kit in a case, clippers, file and bits along with someone elses nail clippings - yes she gave my friend this on Christmas day after my friend had almost killed herself doing an over the top Christmas breakfast, lunch , dinner and supper and entertained all of her former husbands hateful family - bits of nail clippings and dried skin ..
She filed for divorce the week in-between Christmas and New Year

A picture frame with a family photo still attached to the glass and I say attached because the picture was stuck to the glass. The frame was one of those $2 frames...it went in the trash.
My mother also gifted my kids and my brothers kids a box of random clothing. All came from a thrift store, we opened it and found nothing wearable. Later we found out it had been suggested to her to do the gifting...she has not met most of her grandkids, but she does pride herself in knowing their birthdays....lol
