My daughter is the queen of hearts in her play alice and wonderland. The mom that volunteered to make ALL costumes which ive paid for now says shecant do mellisa’s and the play is this Thursday. Thats 2 days away. Now I have to get her costume which im going to rent but the mom says I cant get my money bc because she spendt it on material. Excuse me?
OH NO!!!! she didn’t sorry but girlfriend would have to muster up my money from some where or I’d have to open up a can of “whip-a**!!! It’s not your fault that she purchased the materials and then to tell you she can’t make your baby’s outfit, NO WAY!!! She will beg, borrow or even steal for my money sorry, but she’d have to pay up and not with the material what good is it going to do you after the fact, she will get a refund or something but she’d come up with my money or all hell will break loose, and it don’t look good!!!!
Oh I dont think so!!! That takes a lot of nerve to have someone pay for something to be done then tell them they can’t do it and then say you can’t get your money back. EXCUSE ME?!?!?!?!? Sorry but girlfriend needs to find some money some where some how! I wouldn’t take this lying down! Get your money back or give me her number and I will get it for you!

Get the costume in whatever manner you need so your daughter can do her play. Then open that can of whoopa** to get your money back!
I agree...that is just WRONG!
I would sure be letting all the other mothers know what she has done. I bet she wouldn’t get a chance to make any more costumes!!!
Also, i’m not sure i’d go around bad-mouthing this woman to other mothers. Handle the situation in a way that you can be proud. Talk to her, explain that “i spent your money, already” is NOT an acceptable excuse and agree on a reasonable amount of time for her to reimburse you. If she doesn’t follow through, take her to small claims court.
Once the date of the play has passed and you do not have a costume, this woman hasn’t a let to stand on. She owed you the costume (in time) or she owes you the money you gave her.
I agree with the ladies - plus if she has bought the material why not give you that so someone else could make the outfit if needs be - looks like she bit off more than she could chew

She should not have volunteered to make all the costumes If she couldn’t do it. Thats her problem but I would get my money back. What was her reason she couldn’t make the dress?

That is what I told her today on phone. She went out of town with her girl friends for 5 days thats why she couldnt start it or finish it. Mellisas play is tomorrow and it cost me another 192.00 for the rental for 2 days.
Im so pissed although her coustume is great! But shes embarrassed because now her coustume looks better. Poor thing. Its a damned if I do damned if I didnt there was no way to have it made in time so altogether its been about 250.00 for this costume. Grrrrrr niecy if I dont get the money back ill pm u her number lol
